Uses
Fentin vaginal capsule is used to treat fungal infections of the vagina and the tissues at the opening of the vagina.

Contraindications
If you are allergic to Fenticonazole or any other ingredients of Fentin vaginal capsule.

Side effects
Slight burning sensation in the vagina while inserting Fentin vaginal capsule.

Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy
Q: Can I use Fentin vaginal capsule during pregnancy?
A: Fentin vaginal capsule should be used during pregnancy only if prescribed by the doctor as there is limited safety information available. You must not use the applicator when pregnant.

Breast Feeding
Q: Can I use Fentin vaginal capsule while breastfeeding?

Driving

A: There is no direct interaction between alcohol and Fentin vaginal capsule. However, alcohol is known to worsen the infection and inflammation; it’s better to avoid consuming alcohol when you are prescribed with this medicine.

Other General Warnings
Talk to your doctor if

• You develop any allergic reaction after using Fentin vaginal capsule.
• You develop any other symptoms (like abnormal or irregular vaginal bleeding, vaginal sores, etc) or your condition worsens, immediately consult your doctor.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You or your partner are suffering from or have had a sexually transmitted disease.
• Your symptoms do not improve within 7 days of using Fentin vaginal capsule.
• You are above 60 years old.
• You have developed this infection more than twice in the last 6 months.
• Fentin vaginal capsule can damage condom and diaphragms, thus making them ineffective. Please speak to your doctor about alternative methods of preventing pregnancy.
• Fentin vaginal capsule should not be used in patients below 16 years of age.

Mode of Action

How Does It Work?
Fenticonazole in Fentin vaginal capsule stops the growth of fungi by inhibiting the formation of a fungal cell wall component.

Directions for Use

• Fentin vaginal capsule is meant for vaginal use only.
• Use this medicine as directed by your doctor.
• Follow all the instructions and read the label or leaflet before use.
• Lie on your back with your knees raised and spread apart.
• Insert the capsule in the vagina as far as it comfortably goes, with or with the use of an applicator.
• Wash your hands before and after using this medicine with a mild soap.

• Fentin vaginal capsule is meant for vaginal use, thus it is less likely to interact with other medicines.
• Please tell your doctor if you are using any other medicines, over-the-counter medicines (that you buy without a prescription) and herbal preparations.
• While on treatment with Fentin vaginal capsule, do not start, stop or change the dosage of your medicines without consulting your doctor.
• Please ask your doctor about alternative methods of contraception as Fentin vaginal capsule can damage condoms and diaphragms, thus making them ineffective in preventing pregnancy.

Storage and disposal

• Fentin vaginal capsule should be stored at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.
• Keep it away from children and pets.
• Discard the medicine when no longer needed or expired.

Dosage

Overdose
As Fentin vaginal capsule is meant for vaginal application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose
If you have missed to use Fentin vaginal capsule, use it as soon as possible. Do not overuse this medicine to compensate for the missed dose.
