Indications

Asthalin Respules are indicated for:

• Relief of bronchospasm in conditions such as asthma and COPD

• Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm

• Relief of wheezing and shortness of breath associated with respiratory conditions

How It Works

Salbutamol is a short-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist (SABA) that works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways, leading to bronchodilation. This action helps alleviate symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.

Dosage and Administration

• Adults and Children ≥12 years: 1 respule (2.5 mg) via nebulizer every 3–4 hours as needed.

• Children 4–12 years: 1 respule (2.5 mg) via nebulizer every 6–8 hours as needed.

• Infants and Toddlers: Dosage should be determined by a healthcare provider based on individual needs

Note: If you find yourself using the respules more frequently than usual, consult your doctor, as this may indicate poor asthma control.

Precautions and Warnings

• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Salbutamol or any component of the respules.

• Use with caution in:

  • Patients with cardiovascular disorders

  • Hyperthyroidism

  • Diabetes

  • Seizure disorders

  • Patients on diuretics or beta-blockers

Proper Use and Maintenance

1. Preparation: Shake the respule gently before use.

2. Administration:

   • Twist off the top of the respule.

   • Squeeze all the liquid into the nebulizer chamber.

   • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your nebulizer device.

3. Cleaning: Clean the nebulizer according to the manufacturer’s instructions after each use.
