SPEXIB (Ceritinib) is a targeted therapy that targets and binds to the tyrosine kinase receptors and inhibits ALK, insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R), insulin receptor (InsR), and ROS1on the surface of the cell. By binding to these receptors ceritinib blocks an important pathway that promotes cell division.

Ceritinib 150 mg, marketed under the brand name Zykadia, is a prescription medication used to treat ALK-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is a targeted therapy that inhibits the activity of the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) protein, which contributes to the growth of cancer cells.

Uses of Ceritinib 150 mg

Ceritinib is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic NSCLC whose tumors are anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive, as detected by an FDA-approved test.

How It Works

Ceritinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that blocks the activity of the ALK protein, leading to the inhibition of tumor cell growth and survival. This targeted action helps in controlling the progression of ALK-positive NSCLC.
