Avana 50 mg is a medication containing Avanafil, a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men by enhancing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation.

How It Works

Avanafil works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which increases levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).Elevated cGMP levels relax the smooth muscles in the penile blood vessels, allowing increased blood flow and facilitating an erection when sexually aroused. Unlike some other ED medications, Avanafil has a rapid onset of action and a relatively short duration of effect.

Dosage and Administration

• Recommended Dose: Take one 50 mg tablet approximately 15 to 30 minutes before sexual activity.

• Maximum Frequency: Do not exceed one dose per day.

• Administration: Can be taken with or without food.

• Effect Duration: Effects can last up to 6 hours, though individual responses may vary.

  Note: Sexual stimulation is required for an erection to occur. An erection will not occur just by taking the pill.
